Z-Wave to Showcase Home Control Solutions At “Light+Building 2010” Trade Fair in Frankfurt

(Mar 18, 2010)

From April 11-16, thousands of visitors from around the world will converge on Light+Building, Europe’s biggest architecture and technology trade show, where they will learn about the latest in lighting and home automation from world-class organizations like the Z-Wave Alliance. They will showcase its technology at Agora C17. Embedded in more than 350 interoperable products, Z-Wave technology creates a wireless mesh network, enabling a wide range of devices in and around the home to talk to one another. Z-Wave devices also interoperate with Smart Energy Meters, thus enabling an end-to-end energy management solution, that empowers consumers with the convenience of a fully connected home while cutting their energy consumption and saving them money.

A number of Z-Wave Alliance members will present their home control solutions at Light+Building 2010:

FAKRO: Transforming Attics into Living Spaces
FAKRO manufactures a wide range of products to transform attics into comfortable living spaces. These include a comprehensive range of roof windows, like centre pivot windows, top hung windows, L-shaped windows, access roof lights and skylights, as well as roof window accessories, like Venetian blinds, external and internal roller blinds, external awning blinds, control units, remote control systems and smoke ventilation systems. At Light+Building, FAKRO will present its electrically operated roof window, the FTP-V Electro Z-Wave, and its external roller shutter, the ARZ Z-Wave.
