Light+Building 2010: Z-Wave Alliance presents Solutions for the Future Smart Home

(Mar 23, 2010)
The Z-Wave Alliance, a pioneer in wireless solutions for home automation, will demonstrate cutting-edge home control devices this April 11-16 at the Light+Building show in Frankfurt, Germany. Member companies – including Remotec, Fujikom, Pepper One and There Corporation – will put their cost-cutting, energy-saving products into action at Agora C17.

Embedded in more than 350 retail products from more than 160 well-known manufacturers, Z-Wave technology creates a wireless mesh network, enabling a wide range of devices in and around the home to talk to one another. Z-Wave devices also interoperate with Smart Energy Meters, thus enabling an end-to-end energy management solution that empowers consumers with the convenience of a fully connected home while cutting energy consumption and saving money. The Alliance partners Remotec, There Corporation and Fujikom will be presenting their home control solutions at Light+Building. Pepper One as the first European certification house will also give an insight into the rigorous process of testing the quality of various Z-Wave devices:

Remotec Controllers for Every Device
Remotec Technology Ltd. is a leading manufacturer and marketer of universal wireless remote controls and input devices. With more than 17 years of experience, Remotec has a strong reputation for developing and manufacturing robust wireless control devices for original equipment manufacturers as well as private label and retail markets around the world. In Frankfurt, Remotec will showcase three of its Z-Wave controllers, along with a Z-Wave enabled IR-Extender and its Z-Wave on/off dimmer solution. ThereGate: A Platform for the Smart Home
There Corporation, a spin-off of Nokia Telecommunications Group, provides a platform that can be used in Smart Metering, Smart Home Management, and Smart Grid solutions. The company develops and markets smart metering solutions based on the “ThereGate”, a platform that collects domestic energy consumption data and makes it accessible to the consumer on multiple devices via a central user interface. The integration of Z-Wave technology in the ThereGate platform will provide future users with numerous control options in houses and apartments, such as monitoring and regulating the temperature, managing all home lighting systems and controlling security systems.
